TruePair Safety Guidelines

Last updated: May 20, 2026

TruePair is designed for people seeking genuine dating, matchmaking, matrimonial introductions, and meaningful relationships. Your safety, privacy, and comfort matter to us. These guidelines are intended to help users interact respectfully and make informed decisions while using TruePair.

1. Protect Your Personal Information

Do not share sensitive personal information with someone you have just met. This includes your home address, workplace address, financial information, identification documents, passwords, private codes, or any information that could be misused.

2. Keep Conversations on TruePair First

We recommend keeping initial conversations within TruePair until you feel comfortable. Be cautious if someone quickly asks to move the conversation to another app, phone number, or external platform.

3. Watch for Scams and Suspicious Behavior

Be careful if someone asks for money, gifts, financial help, investment opportunities, cryptocurrency, gift cards, travel expenses, medical expenses, or emergency assistance. TruePair is not responsible for private financial arrangements between users.

4. Meet Safely

If you decide to meet someone in person, choose a public place, tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going, arrange your own transportation, and avoid sharing your home address too soon. Trust your instincts and leave if you feel uncomfortable.

5. Respect and Consent

Treat others with respect. Harassment, threats, hate speech, pressure, abusive behavior, sexual exploitation, impersonation, or unwanted explicit content is not allowed. Consent and respectful communication are required at all times.

6. Profile Authenticity

Use accurate information and real profile details. Do not impersonate another person, create fake profiles, misrepresent your identity, or upload photos that are not yours. Misleading or fraudulent accounts may be restricted or removed.

7. Agency and Marriage Bureau Profiles

TruePair may allow agencies, marriage bureaus, or similar service providers to create and manage profiles. Users should still review information carefully, ask appropriate questions, and make their own decisions before communicating, meeting, or proceeding with any relationship or matrimonial process.

8. Report Abuse or Concerns

If you experience harassment, suspicious behavior, fake profiles, scams, inappropriate content, or safety concerns, please report it to TruePair. We may review reports and take action where appropriate, including account warnings, restrictions, suspension, or removal.

9. No Guarantee of Background Checks

Unless clearly stated in the app, TruePair does not guarantee that every user has undergone a background check, identity verification, criminal record check, or personal history review. Users are responsible for exercising caution and making safe choices.

10. Emergency Situations

If you believe you are in immediate danger or facing an emergency, contact local emergency services or law enforcement immediately. TruePair support should not be used as a substitute for emergency help.
